New to our Board this year is Kim Benjamin. Kim moved to Gilroy in 1997 along with her husband, Phil, where they have raised their three children, instilling in them the core value of community, philanthropy, and the significance of giving back. Kim is a strong community advocate volunteering for multiple organizations and serving students at Gavilan College with unwavering commitment. 

Earning an AA and BA in Communication Studies from Gavilan College and San Jose State University, and a MA in Higher Education, Student Affairs, from Grand Canyon University, Kim understands the power and value of education for all. She sees Leadership Gilroy as an opportunity for individuals to further their education, leadership, and philanthropy potential in serving our diverse community.

Kim was a recent graduate of the Leadership Gilroy, Class of 2022 (Veterans Hall), and currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Gavilan College Educational Foundation as well as an Ambassador and Scholarship Reader for Gilroy Foundation.

Kim looks forward to mentoring and empowering future classes of Leadership Gilroy as their efforts will make a lasting and positive impact on our community.
